Blakemans support local VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebrations

A day of celebrations in the sunshine commenced at Blurton Club on Sunday 4th May to raise money to aid the local Armed Forces personnel, both serving and Veteran as well as the wider Military family in the local area such as assisting with transport for veterans to appointments and support for people who have sadly suffered bereavement. The RBL Meir and Longton Branch and Blurton Club organised a great day which consisted of fun filled activities enjoyed by all ages, stunning WW2 vehicles on show, appearances from the Royal Military Police and Army along with ‘the best BBQ in Town!’
Blakemans supported this special day and donated all the sausages and burgers that were used on the BBQ, these were sold throughout the day to help contribute to the final amount raised, as well as the support of Local Armed Forces serving and veterans, the hope is to raise enough to take the Veterans on special days out and trips at no cost to the Veterans.
