Warboys Community Bonfire & Firework Display

The community of Warboys, a village in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire have reignited their bonfire night celebrations after a year off and returned with a bang.

The 2021 return saw Pamela Hicks and Pat Collins who organised event (with the help of family and friends) raise just over £6000. The money is being spread throughout the community’s services and events seeing their Doctors surgery, primary school, play group, Christmas lights, sports field and their amateur dramatics society benefit, to name just a few.

As ever, Blakemans were keen to help out, offering to supply nearly 300 jumbo sausages for the organisers to sell at the event. On the donation, Pamela Hicks of the community association said:

“This would not have been possible without your continued support and donating the sausage, for that we thank you.”

James Morris, Head of Business Development said:

“It was wonderful to hear that the events at Warboys were starting up again and, of course, we wanted to support them in their mission to raise funds for the village. I’m blown away by the success of the evening and the amount of money that they managed to raise; it’s phenomenal, well done to the organisers”
