Waste Reduction Advice

Waste in businesses of any kind can come with a hefty price tag and also have a detrimental effect on the environment. We, as a manufacturer, take waste reduction seriously. Please take a look at our environmental policy for details on how we manage waste on an industrial scale. As well as thinking of our pocket and carbon footprint, we want to help you to make the most of our products too…

Our frozen products are individually quick frozen (IQF) and are designed to cook directly from the freezer, allowing you to take out only what you need/when you need it, ensuring maximum shelf life. This benefit is especially prevalent in our pre-cooked products which can be regenerated from frozen in a matter of minutes in the microwave, with no compromise on quality.

Our chilled products are suitable for freezing, where required. If you need to freeze any of our chilled products, we recommend that you do so upon receipt of the product, ensuring maximum shelf life. For ease of service, it is also a great idea to portion the product out before freezing so that you only need to remove what is necessary from the freezer.

Versatility is in the very nature of the products that we produce (we develop them with this in mind), enabling you to take one of our products and use it for multiple menu items. Not only does this maximise usage of the product to its fullest but also reduces your kitchen skews. One such example of this would be our Italian style meatballs, which are amazing in a multitude of recipes from Pizza’s, pasta’s, Subs and sandwiches to ‘on the go’ snack pots. They are perfect for a smaller appetite or children’s menu item as well as larger main menu portions (they’re a real hit with kids!). For some menu ideas and inspiration, please click here.

Leftovers! If you have cooked a batch of our products up and have some left over, all is not lost! You can cover and cool at room temperature, before chilling or freezing them, within a maximum of 2 hours. Any chilled left overs must be used within 24 hours. Frozen left overs must be used within 24 hours of being removed from the freezer.
